Tab Manager collects only the minimum data necessary to provide its core functionality:

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to power the features you use:

Data Storage & Security

🔒 Local Storage (Default)

All tab groups and preferences are stored locally in your browser using the chrome.storage.local API. This data never leaves your device unless you opt into cloud sync.

☁️ Cloud Storage (Optional)

If you sign in with Google, your tab groups are stored in Google Firebase Firestore, encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Your data is stored under your unique user ID and is accessible only to you.

🔑 Authentication

Tab Manager uses Google OAuth 2.0 via chrome.identity.launchWebAuthFlow. Your Google password is never seen or stored by the extension.

We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party.

Tab Manager does not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Tab Manager does not embed any third-party SDKs that collect user data for advertising purposes.

Children's Privacy

Tab Manager is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
